SymphonyVision | Spot

Vision-based spot spraying

Spraying contact herbicide across the entire field leads to wasted product and money. SymphonyVision | Spot uses cameras to detect weed severity to adjust the rate of each nozzle automatically when weeds are present while turning off nozzles when they aren't. Kill weeds effectively while saving application time and money by only spraying where weeds are present.

Why Spot?

Target Only The Weeds

Without The Extra Fees

Accuracy and Cost Savings

SymphonyVision | Spot maximizes cost savings by automatically turning nozzles on and off during applications while also adjusting the rate of the nozzles that are actively spraying. The application rate of each nozzle is adjusted in real-time and is determined by weed severity, a metric that combines both weed size and weed density.

Complete Coverage, Less Chemical

With variable rates down to a quarter-inch-sized plant, you can be confident that you’re effectively applying proper label rates and getting complete weed termination. Lessen the amount of chemical applied and reduce input costs without sacrificing weed control, a win for both the environment and your bottom line.

Apply Based on Weed Severity

The system calculates the application rate in real time based on weed severity. Weed severity is a metric unique to Precision Planting that combines weed size and weed density. When spraying with SymphonyVision | Spot using the 20|20, higher weed severity results in a higher application rate, while areas with lower severity receive reduced rates, or no product at all.

Effortless Scouting

Take your scouting to the next level without spending additional time in the field. Deepen the knowledge you have of your fields through same-day data and images. Post application, Panorama provides you with a map so you can analyze weed pressure throughout the entirety of the field and improve communication between scouts, sprayer operators, and decision-makers of the chemical weed control program.

Real Acres, Real Results

When spraying the first post-emergence pass on a 63-acre soybean field with SymphonyVision | Spot, the sprayer was off for 35 of the 63 acres. This resulted in an application cost of $11/A (~$700 for the field).

Had the field been sprayed with a traditional sprayer, the expected cost of application was $25/A (~$1,600 for the field). SymphonyVision | Spot resulted in an average cost savings of $14/A and reduced chemical use by 55%. A win for both the environment and the farmers' bottom line.
