The Power of Clarity On Your Seeder

Where Visibility Meets Performance

Typical blockage sensors work great until there is more going on behind the scenes.

Take this scenario, for example, where a farmer running a 60' John Deere 1910 air cart was putting in winter wheat. The seeder was set up with 8 towers and a dual tank pull-behind cart. He was running a blend of 60% fertilizer and 40% seed through each row. The air cart was equipped with Clarity, a blockage and flow monitoring system that shows blockage feedback in real-time.

All was going well until he reached his last field, when the magnitude map showed a drop in fertilizer application on the 20|20. He knew the seed tank was fine, but quickly realized the fertilizer tank was running out. Instead of stopping, he decided to continue since he only had one pass left.

Clarity shows metrics on the 20|20 such as magnitude (how much product is flowing) and uniformity (how consistently product is distributed) to alert you in real-time of potential blockages or drops in flow. You can see the orange area on the map where fertilizer flow had ran out, tower by tower.

One month later, they flew a drone over the field to see if the one row of wheat applied without fertilizer was affected. He immediately saw a noticeable difference, spotting exactly where the fertilizer had begun to run out. Another month went by and they checked again.

Without Clarity, this moment of insight might have been lost. Traditional blockage sensors won’t tell you when you're running out of fertilizer, only that flow has stopped. You might think it doesn't matter if it's just one pass through your field. But with Clarity, you quickly realized it was a problem. However, it was also an opportunity to evaluate your fertilizer program and catch problems sooner next time. That’s the power that data visibility unlocks.

Catching blockage issues in real-time with Clarity is simple with the ability to set alarms below your application threshold. In this case, setting the alarm at 35% ensures that rates dropping below 40% point to a seeding rate problem, while rates below 60% would require checking into your fertilizer output.

This is where visibility meets performance. Invest in a blockage system that has your back.
