How we can help?

Spacing? Depth? Speed? Residue? Seedbed? Which problem is costing you the most during planting? Look here to uncover the cost of poor planter performance . . . and simple solutions to fix them.

Populations. Spacing. Placement.

Higher populations mean that the placement of every plant - every seed - is critical. Corn plants closer than 4" sense high population and react to the high stress environment. But with a little effort, today's planters can achieve spacing accuracy of 97% or more. Find out how.

Depth. Compaction. Residue.

Uniform emergence is the most important event in a cornfield's year. Plants that do not emerge within 48 hours after their neighbors turn into "weeds". Creating a good, clean seed V, getting seeds to the bottom of the trench and eliminating compaction can get plants off to a uniform start.

Measure. Monitor. Control.

Find and Fix planter problems before they cost you a dime. New monitoring and sensing systems can identify expensive issues you can't detect in the shop. And with new control systems, you can set and forget critical functions like downforce adjustments, VR populations and Row Control.

FieldView

FieldView combines with the 20/20 SeedSense display to give you a whole “field view” of planter performance in the cab.

FieldView

20/20 SeedSense, along with FieldView, gives you high definition images of the 20/20 field data. Now, population, singulation, down force and spacing data are laid out pass by pass, row by row, foot by foot. And, with all the information stored in the iPad app, the information is easily portable for later use.

To run FieldView you will need a 20/20 SeedSense sytem, an iPad2 (or later) tablet, a FieldView Module (FVM) and the FieldView App. For most growers a 32G iPad2 with WiFi + 3G will provide sufficient memory and computing power. The FieldView App can be downloaded from App Store for free. The FVM and display harness connect the iPad device to the 20/20 display.

FieldView
This iPad2 with the rugged case protects the iPad from all the elements you will encounter in the field.

RAM Tough Tray
The RAM tough tray holds the iPad and FVM in place in the cab.

FieldView Module FVM
The FVM is the brain box that feeds the data from the 20/20 to the iPad.

FieldView Harness
The FieldView harness comes standard with the FieldView Module and connects the two monitors together.

The FieldView App uses all the current set up, configuration, exporting, mapping and detailed seed data functions that are on the SeedSense display, so setup is simple. Plus, you have the ease of use and navigation on which Apple® products have built their reputation.

Once you are hooked up and ready to go, the 3G function of the tablet gives you added support and reliability to give you peace of mind. Through the FieldView App you will be able to:

  • Transfer system log and system configuration files to Precision Planting technical support for issue resolution,
  • Perform 20/20 SeedSense Display software updates,
  • Download AutoMap prescription files from the web to the 20/20 system.

With the functionality of the iPad tablet you also have quick, easy access to installation guides, training and technical bulletins and videos as well as weather, markets and hundreds of thousands of iPad apps.
