Simple Installation and Easy Operation
Your 20/20 system will take, on average, less than two hours to install. The only tools you’ll need are snap ring pliers, and a couple of wrenches.
All the cables and connectors you need for your planter are included in the system kit. Each system comes with both printed instructions and an installation DVD.
Just follow these simple steps.
Mount the display in the cab
- Mount the Smart Connector on the planter near the 37 Pin planter harness on your planter.Connect the Smart Connector between your planter and tractor monitor harness.
That’s all you need to gather seed data. Now, on just three rows – one on each section of the planter – you bolt the Row Unit Module (a box the size of a deck of cards) to the side of the row unit and the Smart Pin to measure downforce.
- This Row Unit Module (RUM) contains the accelerometer that measures row bounce. Disconnect your seed tube sensor wire from the planter harness and reconnect to the pigtail on the RUM. Then connect the Planter Harness connector to the other pigtail on the RUM. This reconnects the sensor and seed data to the monitor.

- The Smart Pin or Smart Link replaces the existing pin or link in the depth adjustment linkage on the row. Connect the wire from the pin around the seed tube and snap the connector into the RUM. We recommend the following Calibration Factors for different pins:
- 5/8" Smart Pin - 85
- 1/2" Smart Pin - 85
- 2008 Kinze Smart Link - 125
- 2009 Kinze Smart Link - 65
- White and CNH - 65
- Connect the display to power in the cab and run one cable back to the Smart Connector.
That’s all it takes for most planters. For KPM II and KPM III monitor owners, find out more about additional installation information.
